My dad has met Trump and various members of the Trump clan. I'm not exactly unbiased towards him but he did say he was kinda a weird guy, socially.

Was it a weak handshake? You can only get so much grip from hands those size.

Well, that's why I said to just try a little once in a while. Too many slap a "realism" sticker on cynicism and just shoot for that, and allowing one's self some optimism and idealism now and then is the best remedy for it I know. It's good to believe in things.

Oh that's just silly...

....Oh no wait, there we go. Uncanny.

But in all seriousness, sure. Idealism birthed the civil rights movements. Idealism is great. Reality is closer to the idealist outlook than this year would have some with very shallow and inaccurate viewpoints on politics believe.

You call it jaded. I call it knowing a bit about how the real world works. People who actively seek power are always up to something and it's almost never benevolent.

That's just pure, unfettered cynicism.

Now, if I were that cynical, I would assume you were projecting, but I'm not, so I'll say that I understand the world can seem bleak at times, but there are rays of sunshine. I know lots of people who are involved in politics for one reason or another. Not all politicians are just out there to make a buck or earn kleos.

You'll get over it. Believe it or not, but a rampant lack of corruption actually isn't a bad thing.

It is perfectly understandable that you're disappointed, but you can't blame them. It's just that the rest of America isn't ready for you yet!

Whaaaaaat. I mean, at least tell me you were fed and watered. Michelin star establishments only, none of this 'diner' stuff. Very common.

Obviously people are fucking stupid enough to find those games entertaining, which is why they keep getting made, and why the "devs" keep getting that sweet, sweet revenue.

Welcome to Nationstates.

Heh, I have to provide my tax returns, I guess I missed the line item for accepted bribes. And this year I have to go to a class as well.
