Yeah, I fully expect a Front National dominated parliament to emerge. Things are so goddamn right wing at the moment, France might as well restore the monarchy.

And for the kids who don't get that reference: the right/left dichotomy of politics finds its origin in the royal court of pre-revolutionary France.

It's a tough situation. I'm a Republican supporter so I'm particularly on edge this time around, Fillon without doubt is the much more competent candidate of the two but Juppé despite his career of completely messing things up is more popular among the public so I'm torn. Do you want a capable presidential candidate who might not beat Le Pen or a sure winner who will probably make a massive, massive blunder during his term of office. Such wonderful prizes!

And all candidates lacking a glorious Wilders mane. :/

The Bourbons would be preferable to the Le Pens.

The daughter seems to be somewhat better than the utterly unredeemable father, but that's not saying much. That's not saying much at all.

She's still a politician, ignoring all her other glaringly obvious faults.

Don't care, I like 'First Nations' better. India could have been its own continent, but it just had to go wild and penetrate Asia.

Many politicians can actually be quite pleasant when you meet them as persons. Doesn't mean they won't set the world ablaze if they genuinely believe it's for the best.

In my defence we really didn't need to keep the Azores above sea level.

Many people mistake "the common good" with "personal profit". It happens.

The main concern I have with hair removal cream is that I have no idea how my skin will respond. The kinda trousers I wear, leg burns would probably be especially nasty.

Spot test, spot test, spot test. Don't do your whole leg until you're sure your skin isn't too sensitive.

My dad has met Trump and various members of the Trump clan. I'm not exactly unbiased towards him but he did say he was kinda a weird guy, socially.

Well, that's why I said to just try a little once in a while. Too many slap a "realism" sticker on cynicism and just shoot for that, and allowing one's self some optimism and idealism now and then is the best remedy for it I know. It's good to believe in things.
