Since when does "according to this site" imply he's holding this up as the absolute truth? That's quite a stretch. Further, the article on that site is certainly no more biased than any of the links which the OP has provided, which hold a quite distinct lean to the protester's turn of events.

If you want to query bias, perhaps query why the the title of this thread states that a police grenade was thrown at her despite being backed with nothing more than her word. It's quite clear the source of the explosion is up for debate.

I'm curious that with the prolific use of social media by these protesters that nobody has managed to produce a video of police using concussion grenades at or around the time of these events. I'm also curious that the medical team who claimed that fragments of the object in her were part of a grenade declined to post pictures of these fragments as proof.

The concern isnt unfounded. Temperatures are supposed to plunge by 20 degrees in the next two weeks, and we have multiple snow storms on the forecast already, with a much higher than average snowfall for the winter anticipated. And its only going to get colder from there on out, with temperatures dropping even further come January. Winter is not something to screw around with in the Northern states. The freezing temperatures seen so far are freezing only on the technical side, and many of the protesters from other areas are simply woefully unprepared for what is coming. November up here was incredibly mild, and significantly warmer than usual. December looks like its going to plunge us into deep winter very quickly.

Let me further enlighten you on something that happens if a blizzard hits: The police will not come and save you. Because they physically cannot. If you are caught in a blizzard in up here, you are completely on your own and nobody is coming to help you or save you. And if you are in tents, you are going to die. It is as simple as that. It is better to get people out now than face a disaster down the road.

You may think this sort of concern is unfounded. It is not. We are supposed to be both colder than normal and have more snow than normal this year. The weather we have had is nothing at all like what is coming. And trying to evacuate the camp when a major storm comes in is going to be nearly impossible. And trust me, the camp would need to be evacuated else the people there be left to fend for themselves in several feet of snow, temperatures well below freezing, and no clear idea of when aid could be provided to the camp in such an event. They could be out there for as long as a week without being able to leave at that point even if they wanted to. And the police couldn't get to them even if they wanted to. It's a disaster in the making to let people stay there.

Eh, most of the oil in North Dakota reservations at least is under the Fort Berthold reservation, which is Three-Affiliated (Mandan-Hidatsa-Arikaraa). Not only are they pretty cold on how they feel about Standing Rock in general, they are also pretty friendly towards the oil companies and oil work in general. They typically have not much issue signing off on oil permits within the reservation.
