We finally decided the best way to deal with it was to have state controlled outlets which would only sell to adults (show us your card, please).

That's the solution for a lot of this stuff, including porn.

One thing I WOULD like to ban would be uninvited porn! If I go to an innocent site for, say, Indian dancing girls in traditional garb, I should not be subjected to an onslaught of pure porn with no socially redeeming value.

Ever heard of porn-induced erectile dysfunction? A good handful of US Navy doctors will tell you that it exists through this research manuscript. Though I'm lucky I never got to that point of where heavy porn use affected my ability to expand dong*.

I would consider my porn use back then as moderate, but I advanced towards extreme sexual material.
