Maybe we should just ban people from speaking to each other entirely, that way no one's feelings get hurt.

It doesn't go anywhere. The unionem Web site says they take calls between 10 and 4. It doesn't go anywhere after that.

That's why words like some are important. Also, I believe gun control is in the Democratic platform, thus saying democrats as a party support gun control would be accurate. Control is not part of the feminist platform (in general) and thus it would not be correct to say that feminists support control.

Maybe next time you should use better language and not apply your stereotype of feminists to all who claim the label.

The Emerald Dawn wrote:'gon, you should know very well that your statement is going to end up with the exact same "I'm not talking about you as a white man, I'm talking about White Men" that is a tried and true Feminist response online.

Even if many feminists do this, does that make it right for those who oppose feminism to do the same thing? Especially since one of the things they mention is that not all of those who are against feminism or who are pro MRA act are sexist.

That really just seems like a cheap deflection. There's no reason to assume someone is referring to everyone in a movement unless they specifically say so. I'll use a better example than my first. Most Native Americans are extremely liberal. I am not. Does that make the first statement untrue? No, and I wouldn't complain if someone made the first generalization. So why must we play semantics?

Nobody said it was. But that doesn't change the fact that it isn't needed. It's done to prevent infection in that region, something that can also be done by teaching young men how to wash properly.

No but then you said most. If you had said Native Americans are liberal then I would have objected, because that is not always the case. Semantics are important, especially in cases like this where all people are implicated in a sentence. Had I said native Americans are are alcoholics with low IQs this would have implied all Native Americans are alcoholics with low IQs, not some. I see no difference in terms of implication with that statement and the one CF made, and I would have been properly warned for all X are Y.

Correct, and I choose to respond to you by suggesting that either your statement is inaccurate or you are using sloppy language. Neither of those are control. If what I did was control then what you did was also control.
