No but apparently this storm was. It was unusually heavy and unusually early. Basically this is a record breaking storm, with it dumping more then 30cm of snow in a very short time period.

Question: What is the actual issue here? Because as far as I can tell this is people trying to apply gender politics to something that had nothing to do with it.

Basically it is an issue of trends. Women tend to walk, bike, or take public transportation while men tend to drive. I am guessing that roads where being cleared before sidewalks, disproportionately effecting women.

Public transit is something everyone can use. Personal vehicles are not. It makes sense to prioritize the methods of transit that everyone can benefit from.

As someone who cannot and probably will never be able to drive, bullshit. Industry uses the roads, as do the emergency services, as do a large amount of commuters. It is far easier to walk on a snowy street than it is to drive down one, and with the speed that people tend to rive in the snow it is generally reasonably safe to walk in the road.
