We're talking about Roy Moore I presume. The evidence explains itself.

Ah, the only evidence I have heard about is personal testimony from decades ago. Admittedly, not anything to be dismissed out of hand, but not exactly damning. Witness testimony is hilarious unreliable scant days after crimes, let alone years, let alone longer.

Granted, Moore himself seems like a skeevy crazy. But my personal intuition isn’t really a source for use when voting.

Mm, I had heard that. GoogleFu says there isn’t substantive evidence, with modern allegations coming from hearsay and testimony from people who think they remember things forty years ago. The same problem as witness testimony really.

Again, not saying we should dismiss it. But that’s hardly a smoking gun, especially in a climate that is spewing out such accusations right and left, in the middle of a political campaign.

...no? We've gotten confirmations from police and mall security that they did in fact ban him and try and keep him away from cheerleaders at HS football games because he was a known creep.

I mean, it should be a source. Probably not the sole one, but given that he's already throwing off the skeevy crazy vibe, and has a bunch of sexual allegations, one would think you'd give some more weight to it.

I'm also surprised to hear someone so concerned about Hillary's supposed corruption is now talking at length about there not being any definitive proof regarding what Roy Moore may or may not have done "decades ago." It's almost like you're suddenly changing your mind when your party is suddenly the one with an un-prove-ably corrupt (or in this case, rape-y) candidate. :^)

Well, no, we really don’t. We have one man, a former worker at the mall, recalling that a different man, a security guard at the mall, told him to watch out for Moore. The same worker also noted that Moore frequented that mall despite being supposedly banned there.

I mean, you should strongly consider why you think a thirdhand source remembering an event forty years ago is credible. That’s... a really low bar as far as evidence goes.

I’m hardly saying we should dismiss it- merely weight it appropriately, which to me, would seem to be fairly lowly. Alongside other witness testimony seen across the gap of decades. Not not at all, which would be dismissing it.

Sure, but I’m talking about evidence for people who aren’t me; my intuition is no more credible than that of any other schmuck off of the streets.

What’s this about me and Hillary’s corruption?

If you’re referring to him “not knowing someone” and his name being in their high school yearbook, hell, I don’t remember half of my classmates from high school, and I’m a damn sight closer to those years than he is.

Again, not something we should discount, but not something that exactly qualifies as a smoking gun. I won’t be too surprised if the accusations are confirmed. I also won’t be too surprised if they turn out to be so much hot air, all other things equal.

Two women with yearbook autographs from Moore despite his claims to have never met any girl.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be proof of a pan-Islamic plot and Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand, crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of mentally ill lone wolves who do not represent their professed belief system at all.

If Donald Trump accuses an individual of malfeasance without evidence, it is almost a certainty either he or someone associated with him has in fact committed that very same malfeasance to a greater degree.
