Ehhhh not really a solution. They have their own fucked up stuff as well.

I used to belong to a couple big ones. The last one once screwed up my checking and caused several bounces and add 42 separate fees for the effort. I challenged it; they admitted it and still expect the fees to be paid. They weren't.

The other one said I couldn't have a car loan and the bank said I could.

They are fine in other areas but they are not the solution.

Cooperative banking has been a huge success in largely red states like North Dakota. And that's not what they wanna bring back. Rather, they'd prefer to see the banks that were "too big to fail" more heavily regulated, which is perfectly reasonable for both Dems and Republicans.
