TRUMP: Yes, He Even Branded A MAGAthread

As we're all well aware by now, on November 8th, 2016, Donald J. Trump was elected President of the United States of America. Since that time, we've seen elation and despair, celebration and protest, credit-taking and finger-pointing all over the world...but mostly in America, and to a nearly unprecedented degree on NSG. Therefore, to avoid confusion, we're making a Megathread for all of your Trump-related news. All of it. Cabinet picks both potential and real, protests, interviews, predictions, analysis, observations, gaffes, slights, reactions, and all other things Trump go here. I'll be closing other Trump-related threads and pointing people here with a link.

This is about as explosive a reaction as I've seen to a political contest in my life. Tensions are high.

Do not throw fuel on the fire.

This thread will be heavily patrolled.

And with his libel law fetish no doubt he'll try to set up a Trump Ministry of Truth.

trump makes the best megatheads

so there's zero chance the electoral college will pull a reverse 2000 on him right

The EC just pulled a regular 2000 for Trump, so it appears (not all votes counted yet).

Probably not. Unless the GOP establishment planned years ahead.

Oh, and how long before he demands NationStates pay up for the right to use his name in a thread?

I don't think that would happen. But if it did it would be funny see to the Electoral College reject both Clinton and Trump and go with Johnson

Probably at about the same time we start calling him Drumpf to avoid that. :p

So, like many of the other things that Trump puts his name on, will this thread eventually fail as well?

No, just kidding. No offense meant. :p

That would be worse though...

Difference is that one will already get you in trouble.

If that happened (presumably via some kind of mind control device)... I don't know what I'd think.

I mean, first of all, Johnson didn't get anywhere near either Trump or Hillary. Hillary by ethical right should be president (she got the most votes), but Trump should be president according to the rules, but that argument "it's the rules!" doesn't stand up when the rules specifically allow faithless electors. If faithless electors did this en masse, it would also be an "it's the rules" situation.

Michigan and Florida have laws against faithless electors, and he couldn't loose all of PA's electors, right?
I think they might try, but I doubt they can succeed at this point. Maybe but probably not.

Especially if Libertarians drowned their sorrow and wake up to a hangover victory announcement.

Well there are claims that Clinton actually has more legally obligated electors than trump. With the rest being able to go faithless but i take those with massive amounts of salt.

@Gauthier Does that somehow make that any less racist? Anyhow, there are more incidences of racism by Lena Dunham, prime example being her 'White Extinction' video. But this is off-topic, we shouldn't threadjack after all. ;)

You used it in context so doubt it.

She's racist, but at least she's aware of it.

Yes but only fines. No one can get sent to jail or have their vote removed because of it.
