For all of Trump's attacks against Mexico there's one thing they had that the US of A hasn't: an Emperor (Emperor Norton dosent count).

Mexico has had two emperors, actually- Agustín I de Iturbide and Maximilian I. Trump isn't a tenth of the man that either of them were, nor is he a tenth of the man Joshua Abraham Norton was, for that matter (can you imagine Trump putting himself between an angry mob and a crowd of Chinese citizens and repeating the Lord's Prayer until they dispersed?). Bad emperors can be born into the position, true enough, and I accept that as an unavoidable consequence of hereditary monarchy (which I hasten to add has many advantages to it as well). Choosing someone like Donald Trump as monarch, however, would be insane. He is not fit to serve as progenitor of an imperial dynasty.

Okay people, EVERYONE knows that the Emperor joke is a dank meme spread by Trump supporters for fits of giggles. I myself have referred to him as the Emperor in the name of comedy and good humor.
It's the same reason I find this depiction of the election, featuring Trump as Jabba the Hut, to be drop-dead hilarious. It's the same reason "small loan of a million dollars" is the all-time best Trump joke to exist, far exceeding "Hillary Clinton is going to suicide you/Killary" jokes.

On a more serious note, although I am normally a monarchist, I make exceptions for France (for now) and for my own country (the USA). I do not support subversion of our constiutional republic in favor of a monarchy, even a constitutional one. I believe that Trump will adhere to the Constitution, or, at the least, follow it better and more reverently than Obama did or Hillary would have done. He has surrounded himself with strict fans of the Constitution and wants to appoint originalist judges who will strike down things exceeding the Constitution.

Even if Turmp was to turn tyrannical, if he appoints the judges he said he would appoint, they would, ironically enough, be the ones to stop him.
