Not really. The most violence we've seen here recently are the marches against fear and hate. Ohhh the irony :P

On a serious note, California didn't have much warfare on its soil. Bloods and Crips was about as bad as it got.

If the red states suffered under 8 years of Obama, California can stand to endure 4 years of Trump. What are the chances that Trump will get reelected, unless of course- he somehow governs well enough to get enough approval to win again?

We've learned from Obama's legacy being killed with a 55 percent approval rating that approval ratings somehow don't matter to elections.

You want war in California? I thought you loved America. You do know that we pretty much control the West Coast's economy, right?

What happened was that the polls and predictions were so dead wrong this year. So much so, that I think it was a mistake to ever listen to them. I had a false sense of security that a Clinton victory was inevitable. Seems that Trump didn't hurt the down ballot races any either. From now on, I'm taking nothing as set in stone. It is just my luck to have voted for the loser in every US presidential election from 2008 onwards.

Well, Hollywood making bunch of right-wing movies sound like a modern interpretation of McCharty's Witch-Hunt policy's result.

I like how the secessionists are pitching New California Republic as the name for their proposal. They have yet to formulate a policy for how to deal with the Brotherhood of Steel, however.
"Concentration of power in a political machine is bad; and an Established Church is only a political machine; it was invented for that; it is nursed, cradled, preserved for that; it is an enemy to human liberty, and does no good which it could not better do in a split-up and scattered condition." - Mark Twain

Come to think of it, this isn't actually a bad motion.

California elected 34 Democrats and 19 Republicans to the 2008 Congress, adding 15 members to the Democrats. The Democrats had 257 members to the Republicans' 178. Furthermore, a popular Californian who is a war hero with a great economic plan, can still get California's 55 Electoral Votes. Democratic Hold on California has been decreasing lately, due to the rise of independents and the progressives leaving the Democrats. As for the Senate - really? 2 members? Really?

It was neither. It was more of a Captain Obvious sarcasm. Sometimes, when the media narrative is strong and biased, we fail to realize something that's blatantly obvious, so we must be ever vigilant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLG9g7BcjKs

The way to calm those that want Calexit is simple. Just get the neighboring states that provide electric power (CA. imports 33% of it from other states) and water supply to do a barter town embargo. :o

For those that have no idea, this is a barter town embargo - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hgq4w4dqKsU

Although, there are points for them to try to give Texas independence, right?

Problem is California has the United States's largest economy and literally only 7 other nations in the world compete with it in GDP.

It's almost as if surveys can be lied to just as easily as the Internet.

And with that, I consider this my closer. I figure I've had enough debating practice on this site to move on to something more real, once I figure out a way to do so. What better timing to quit than at 1776 posts?

Obama isn't running anymore, what incentive would people have to lie about their opinion of him?
