Following this post (yes, I'm plugging my own forum post in another forum post, how horrifying), Californians declare an intent to to secede from the United States to become its own independent nation after the election of Donald Trump.

What are your thoughts on the possibility of most (or all of the US West Coast) seceding from the US and becoming it's own sovereign power?

I feel that a lot of the rioting, calls for secession, death threats against Trump, ect, are just knee-jerk reactions like people trying to emigrate to Canada (What's wrong with Mexico?).

People need to take stock that America has survived for hundreds of years. While we're definitely not in the best shape, cutting off your arm because you've got AIDS is not a smart way to go about things.
