Yea. Garland is the type of fellow who doesn't cause much trouble.
He's no Sonia Sotomayor, but he ain't a Scalia either. He's somewhere in the middle.

It probably doesn't help that most of the people I know were pro Hilary. A good chunk of them have made third party voters the scapegoat in this election.

He doesn't have to now. He's in office, he can basically do what he wants. The worst that can happen to him is he disagrees with his party and that jams everything. He could do what you described, but again, I don't think he cares enough about that issue. He only really brought it up in the first place because he was asked, and even then he gave mainly no-answers. I don't see him doing very much at least in this issue. I don't know about most anything else.

That's the problem. First one completely cut ties with me after telling me I was what was wrong with my country (She's Canadian). And now this one (American.)

I'm not. You're all to blame for this, you've all lost your fucking minds. Trump, Third Party, Hillary -- it doesn't matter which side you chose, everyone's being shitty towards each other or hurting each other. I'm more ashamed to be an American sharing a country with such people than I am over who you voted for.

You may have a lot of new enemies. I'm not one of them.
I respect Trump supporters. I just hope you guys don't get too disappointed.
I was just thinking not too long ago, and I cannot shake the feeling, and I hope I am wrong, that Trump might end up in the middle of a assassination attempt either from someone in the far left, or the far right.
Again, I hope I am wrong, but I don't put it past. He's won a divisive election, and further, I know he won't keep many of his promises on the campaign trail, so the right will be justifiably pissed, while Pence is a relative nobody who conforms better to the right's agenda.

Just curious, how are you what's wrong with America? I always feel people who say that don't really understand what american is all about.

I don't think I'm being shitty to others
The only person I've really grown to dislike this election was someone who attacked me personally and not my politics.

That's odd. I've had no shortage of people hate me for voting for trump. I had one of my residents (I am an RA on a college campus) tell me I am the reason this country will go to hell, and that he has lost all respect he had for me ... "oh, no wait, I never had any respect for you". I had someone deface the bulletin board I made (about thanksgiving, Diwali, all saints day, and international tolerance day) with "you racist trumper fuck" in sharpie, and certainly seen no shortage of vitriolic comments thrown around on Facebook.
And this is in Pennsylvania, and not even in one of the especially liberal parts (e.g. Philly or Pittsburgh). I should expect its this way on most university campuses. Hate goes both ways unfortunately.

Jesus, that sucks....
I mean, I know I was disappointed by the result, but I've been trying for people to keep their temperaments down.
No need for hating the other side. We all voted based on our interests.

Don't worry, I dislike everyone's politics, including yours. I mean... erm... you know...
Seriously though, we can disagree on politics, but I'm not going to seriously insult someone's character over it.

Perceived interests would probably be more accurate.
