Jesus, I'm beginning to question certain steps we've made as a society.

Your concerned about lasers, electricity, and chemicals? What are you - a hippy? :p

When it comes to my own health and safety, you'd be surprised. Afterall I'm the six million dollar man. I wouldn't want all that investment to go to waste.

I was ruminating on this topic this morning. I may be an unintentional hippy.

You're a six million dollar man? Yeesh I didn't think inflation was that bad...what is that worth in reality? A dollar at best?

The V O I D wrote:Hey, RWDT, I feel like the reason the RWDT RP failed was because we were limited to Earth and too much OOC stuff going on.

Why not try again but this time set it with each of us RPing as Earth space colonies interacting with each other? Of course, Earth would be reserved for whoever the OP is and would likely have to be run by the UN, but all other planets are fair game. A general rule should be no more than one planet, unless you're a Jovian colony, in which case you can have multiple colonial outposts on each and compete with other Jovians for power!

I'd do it but I am doing a bunch of other stuff already; I'd definitely participate if anyone would create such a thing.

Also, I'm so totally 100% reserving either Mars or Venus.

Because Mars aeternum (COD infinite warfare reference).

...I wanted to control ALL the colonies!
The United Colonies of Earth exists:
to encourage settlement of all habitable worlds in the Galaxy and perhaps the Universe by the human race;
to ensure that human rights are respected, with force if necessary, and that all nations recognize the inevitable and unalienable rights of all human beings regardless of their individual and harmless differences, or Idiosyncrasies;
to represent the interests of all humankind to other sapient species;
to protect all humanity and its’ colonies from unneeded violence or danger;
to promote technological advancement and scientific achievement for the happiness, knowledge and welfare of all humans;
and to facilitate cooperation in the spheres of law, transportation, communication, and measurement between nation-states.

tfw you look at this and go, "Huh, sounds familiar, I wonder where I have seen this before... Oh wait, the GOP establishment platform!"

My suspicions of Trump being simply an establishment GOP president-elect is coming into fruition. The protectionism is weak, not to mention a bog standard tax code. The immigration policy is pretty much a slightly stronger version of most GOP views on the matter, and even then that's the only noteworthy part. Everything else seems to fall in party line.

People are going to be disappointed.

Not only is he still furthering a globalist, neoliberal agenda, he is kowtowing to the establishment as well. All talk and promises, all of which may be broken in due time.

The altright can exit stage left alongside future disenfranchised people of Middlemurica.

He tells them what they want to hear. America is weak because of the liberals and foreigners. It's not their fault. He'll make it all better. Empty flattery and denigration of every part of this country that doesn't fall for it.

The alt-right isn't conflict-oriented like the far-right. They're very conflict-averse.

One should rather be concerned at how similar Trump's pledge mirrors that of the party line and establishment.
