Shhhh. Don't correct them. If they think he's got a chance in NM, they'll throw ad dollars and field operatives at an unwinnable state. They cut their losses a bit by giving up on Virginia; now let them undo those savings by wasting resources on New Mexico.

Maybe they can fling money at Maryland next

Trump has a much of a chance in New Mexico as he has in Michigan but if he wants to waste time on states he won't win i have but one thing to say: Please proceed Mr. Trump

If we remove all bias here, I think it's fair to admit, just in terms of professionalism and organisation, Trump is running the weakest campaign in history.

Even without his litany of disqualifing remarks, he is chronically short on money and has terrible on the ground operations.

By contrast, Clinton is running s very organized campaign, and has only really been thrown off by things like her pneumonia outbreak and the emails.

I think this will be the deciding factor in the election.

I honestly dont think the emails will matter much. I for one am sick and tired of hearing about them and i know many others are too. According CNBC the FBI has explosive information about Trump and connections to Russia but the director didn't want to reveal it because its to close to the election but its totally ok to create a fake scandal about the other candidate. Bias much? Comey should resign. He has no business leading the FBI.

With the furor over Clinton's health though, I could never understand that. The woman is 69 and honestly, for someone that age, looks pretty good. She is appears spry, and is clearly still fiercely intelligent.

The image of Trump pocketing campaign contributions from working class folks that he's duped like a two bit televangelist fills me with rage.

http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/201 ... ilebar&v=1

FiveThurtyEight is showing 75% chance of a Clinton win, 25% chance of a Trump win.

Not a huge fan if those odds but still better I believe than Obama's in 2012.

Edit: Nevermind, FiveThirtyEight had Obama at 90% likelihood of victory in 2012 :?

Politicians usually keep about 75% of their promises. Obstruction and simple political reality tend to kill the 25%.

And where are you getting that number? :eyebrow:

Even if it is true, that 25% is often where the most important policies are located.

How are you arriving at most important? Because if you're referring to whichever issues are most important to you, parochially speaking, you may be right, presidents inevitably disappoint their partisans on specific parochial concerns. It's the reality of politics, priorities and sliding scales.

But I see no evidence that Clinton will be anything other than a boilerplate Democratic president, a driving reason she's the nominee today. At worst Democrats would have Jimmy Carter back. And Clinton is no Carter: She's shown no stomach to fight quixotic battles with her own party.

As of September 22nd, $8.2 million. It's probably risen quite a bit since then (by at least $300,000).

I'm currently buying in the assumption that the current Trump gains correlate pretty well with Johnson starting to lose points in swing states. Republicans are rallying around the party no matter what as E-Day approaches.

Definitely most effective general ad I've seen this general election. Makes me so sad.

Maybe instead of deporting immigrants, we can #DeportTheDeplorables.

That is extremely effective. Trump is against everything my country stands for and I will be extremely upset if he wins. I have faith my country will do the right thing. Hillary Clinton almost consistently overpreformed her polls in the primary and Trump underperformed. I have a feeling the same thing will happen again.

So, in the event of a Trump presidency, how do we stop him? The Republicans will cave and he'll nominate a lackey to the Supreme Court. How do we block his substance-free agenda at all costs?

Pray to god that the Democrats win the Senate at least this year, and hopefully the House in 2018.

If the Republicans have control of government there is nothing you can do except pray the 2018 midterms is a tsunami against the party.

Which, imo, it will be. If Trump wins, the GOP will really have a hard time defending him.

A President Trump will likely face either a Warren, Booker, or Newsom challenge in 2020.

I agree, unless an utter bombshell is discovered on Wieners computer, the new email scandal will likely not change much. We have heard about it so much that the impact the email saga has likely already been baked in.

Comey made a very poor judgement call here, I'm not sure exactly what he was intending but his previous record or bucking FBI precedent is a little unsettling.

we're not going to get anything more about the emails before next Tuesday. we probably wont get anything before next year.

Even four years of a President Trump would do irreparable harm to the country via the courts among other things. I'd rather not take the risk.
