IIRC there were complaints about there being fewer polling stations during some of the primaries, that might have carried over.

Possibly. I'm inclined to say voter turnout is very high, though, given the very large increases in early voting (and long lines existing despite that).

Not to vote. It basically does not happen, largely due to there being a lot more voting places (I posted a comparison map somewhere earlier in this thread).

There should be a massive push towards mail-in balloting for the US, in that vein.

I agree, so far as voting goes, the UK has done a wonderful job of enabling its citizens to not waste time with voting.

Not for elections... this kinda discourages people from voting.

Which is the point, sadly. Voter suppression in the US is their second favorite sport.

This year should be much higher.

This year, according to the polls, Trump's doing very well amongst Cubans. In fact, he's doing the best amongst Republican candidates for minorities since the 80's

Asians make up about 4% of voters, Cubans are a vanishingly small group even if he is winning them. His polling among African Americans and Latinos is horrific so I'm not sure why you're so optimistic.

Just saw a speech by Obama where he directly accused the Republicans of removing polling stations near black neighbourhoods to discourage them from voting...

Trump is like Reagan; Reagan was pulled from the movie business, and Trump was pulled from being a businessman.

I wouldn't say that's abnormal, if you feel deeply about something, anything, it's normal to have passion for it.

Wait...Clark County in Nevada?

It's bloody 11 AM there, the polls aren't supposed to close Pre-Noon.

If I'm not mistaken they're legally required to let you vote if you're in line when the closing time hits.

Couldn't find an article on it so I'm going to go with the stupidest assumption...

...it's a little early for the polls to close in Nevada, Trump.

Obviously he had to mean for early voting. Sounds stupid still.
