I would cut the military budget significantly, instead investing in research grants. I would eliminate the NYC and DOE, replacing them with a joint agency to regulate all nuclear energy and fund nuclear research. I would also eliminate all energy subsidies and instead institute a steep carbon tax as well as requiring that the maximum allowed enviromental damage permitted for a unit of energy is equal across all power sources.

For everything else I would ask for the help of my cabinet in order to come to reasonable, we'll thought out decisions in areas I do not feel confident in.

We are, of course, assuming that we can get our way in political office. So, here goes.
-Propose(and get passed) a constitutional amendment banning all abortion and defining the crime as murder. A similar amendment would get rid of gay marriage.
-Institute a state-administrated universal single payer health system. It will be funded by slashing medicare/medicaid funding down to zero, putting in excise taxes on items counterproductive to health- especially tobacco- and reducing prison funding. It will be administered directly by the states, who will be given a grant from the federal government for the purpose. They can choose to directly take over the healthcare system, reimburse for necessary procedures, buy their citizens insurance, etc. They will be required to cover some procedures, allowed to cover some others, and forbidden from covering certain others.
-Repeal no child left behind.
-Get rid of mandatory minimums. Instead, drug users will be flogged on the first offense and sent to rehab on the second. This will not be optional. Marijuana will cease to be a federal crime, but states will retain the right to criminalize it if they want.
-Raise the minimum wage to nine dollars an hour and tie it to inflation at this rate.
-Withdraw from NAFTA, NATO, and the UN. Institute heavy import tariffs, with a basic rate for consumer goods and a heavier one for luxuries, and a still higher one for imports of goods produced with skilled labor. Create tax incentives for manufacturing in rural areas of the US.
-Draw down the military. Withdraw from the middle east and Europe, reduce the size enormously, etc. Former allies- all entangling foreign alliances will be ended- will have the option of purchasing military equipment from us at a discount.
-Free community college/trade school, but not university, and contingent on good marks and students have to pay for classes they drop.
-Add a new tax bracket of fifty percent for individuals earning above $500,000 per annum.
-Defund planned parenthood, and ban any federal money from going to contraceptives. Institute a national policy to raise the birthrate and encourage marriage. Make divorce harder to get.
-Institute a universal one percent budget cut from current spending, to be repeated every year until we no longer have a deficit, on top of already existing budget cuts.
-Social security will be paid out progressively, and payroll tax will now apply to all of an individual's income.
-End farm subsidies. End subsidies to energy companies, but also reduce regulations on exploration and authorize more drilling leases.
-Start improving our infrastructure.

- More rehabilitation programs for crime so that there can be less jails
- Greater investment in environmentally friendly and sustainable sources of energy
- Turn unused buildings into housing shelters for the homeless
- Preserve funding for the arts

Provincially:
- Reform education system (primary, secondary, and post-secondary education all need some semblance of reform)
- Make sure anyone who want a job in the area they want can have one, and anyone who can’t receive appropriate financial compensation, regardless of work experience or connections (or lack thereof)
- Better transit services, routes and funding

If I would take over the world, this is how my dictatorship would look like:

- Allow minor local, regional and parliamentary elections with some basic rights and some economic freedom and fact-based pro-regime judiciary with codified law.
- Introduce the Sepol (SEcret POLice), the only secret service, they would normally or covertly arrest or directly kill radical political opposition and assimilate negative groups.
- Destroy or Integrate (via. Sepol, Sin taxes, Tax incentives, Reeducation and Propaganda) Wahhabism and other ultraconservative religions, Far-right and Far-left groups, anti-regime rebels, Extroverted criminals, poor and illiterate people (who have already been reeducated or given job opportunity, does not include handicapped people), Violent groups, American Football (or at least change it to avoid injuries), lost unproductive citizens, untouched tribes, poachers, some companies, gangs and other criminal groups, all undisciplined adolescents, astrology (I hate it so much...), Gypsies, Anglophones in Quebec etc.

-Promote Neo-classical, modern minimalist and free-style creative architecture with positive "happy" art and help minor cultures and languages. Reasonable propaganda and very little censorship, things that people don't need to know can be simply written on the last page of newspapers.

-Make Esperanto the world's dominant language
-Deport people from overpopulated or environmentally sensitive areas via. job opportunities to other parts of the world.
-Regulate world businesses and help smaller and medium sized companies, remove all trade barriers.
-Fair Laws (no more loopholes or deductions and no laws that favour only some people)
-Establish state-led scientific agencies (Like the Global Space Agency, the Global Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration etc.) land on mars, develop stem-cell therapy, lower pharmaceutical costs, make a moon base, land a rover and autonomous submarine to discover Europa and Enceladus, New space telescopes and neutrino detectors, Hydrogen powered supersonic jets and so much more.

-Protect the environment and public health once and for all. New National Parks covering hundreds of sq. kilometres, protecting species, but especially those who are vital to the ecosystem, reduce the CO2, HFC, NO- emissions and stop heavy metal production, nuclear (soon fussion) and other alternate power plants (such as wind, solar, geothermal etc.), mandatory recycling, urine recycling (to get phosphates) and using algae etc.

-Digital Bureaucracy and promoting self driving cars.
-Kill or Reeducate all people who believe that Books are boring (unless they're children).
-Taxing rich people and giving everyone the chance to reach their potential and to enjoy life, unless you...

I would work to end partisanship and polarization of high level political positions. My main goal would be to make the Supreme Court of the US required to have an even number of justices and have an independent group create as unbiased a test for an individual's position on the political spectrum as possible. This second part is because I would require half the judges to be on the left and half on the right. This would lead to some growing pains at first but as Presidents will be required to replace judges to maintain a balance, it is likely to lead to a more moderate SCOTUS in which decisions are given more credibility as one has to actually persuade at least one judge on the other side for decisions to be made. This would lead to a superior situation to what the US currently has in which people become upset that the Court gets stacked against one side.

-Bail out US territories and offer them an easier path to statehood

-Isolationist Foreign Policy, keep Canada and our territories safe and well armed. Provide transfer to any military soldiers to return to the middle east and fight in the name of the EU. Offer a universal Veteran Deduction.
-Deregulated but Protectionist National Economic Policy, Invest in America before heavily limiting global free trade
-Temporary Mandatory ID laws, Mandatory voting, paper ballot only, make the national voting day a holiday, and distribute voting places to not only schools but fire stations, churches, synagogues, temples, and mosques.NY for example has a very loose policy that encourages illegal immigrants to vote.
-Make it easier for third party candidates to get local and national representation. Make America a Multi-party democracy.
