That's the problem. My parents are on fixed income. They can't pay for gas right now.

Another problem, rotating shifts. Day to afternoon. I've never seen a bus run at night here before and I have been here for a year.

How do I get home from work if they don't run at night?

Some parents, like mine for instance, can be super stingy and asking them for monetary help is like pulling teeth.

Have you asked to borrow gas money for the job. Parents do tend to look at that differently then when you borrow the car to go a movie. 20 dollars a week is easier to come up with than you think.

What you said about shifts and buses is different than just "not liking buses" Most mass transit except us is not 7 x 24. Have you checked the scheudles? And have you talked to the employer about only working when mass transit is running, until you have gotten a couple paychecks and can pay for gas?

Doubt it, it's a free institution, which doesn't use credits.
