I find it difficult to feel that bad for Anne Boleyn. Was Henry wrong to do unto her as he did? Without a doubt. Should she have been terribly surprised that he turned on her as he had turned on Catherine? Um, no - especially not after she egged him on with Catherine.

I wouldn't jump the gun like that, Princes. Anne had, more than please her husband, she had to uphold the honor of a king by giving him a son. She wasn't able, and according to scientists, through no fault of her own. Henry VIII was, more than likely, suffering from Kell syndrome, which caused his wives to miscarry. Particularly miscarry male feti. The sole reason Jane Seymour was able to give birth to Edward, Henry's sole surviving male child, was more than likely because she wasn't susceptible to the Kell positive antigen effects.

A better explanation of the Kell positive antigen effect not just on Henry and his wives, but also in his family. He probably inherited the syndrome from Jacquettaof Luxenbourg.
