I don't recall any autocrats in history who were constantly cockblocked without purging political opponents in return like Obama was. Anyone?

Obama's problem is not that he's an autocrat. Its more that he compromises too much.

Of course, many on the Right define "oppression" as "We're not getting everything we want."
"Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy." - President Abraham Lincoln.

Man, it would be Hillary-ous if Trump's coke dealer came out sensing bigger cash opportunities.

And the Scarface desk scene is more Hillary-ous if you imagine Trump instead.

Interestingly, despite the anti-Trump Republicans coming out now, it's still looking likely that Johnson will not hit 5%.

Clinton is obviously well-ahead now, the question is more by how much. My guess is 7-8%, but anywhere between 5-10% is reasonable. Maybe even a touch more, as well.

And then of course the second question is whether it's a momentary debate/tapes bounce, or if Trump's candidacy has (finally) killed itself. For the first time in the race, there's a lot to say for the latter viewpoint.

Well apparently the conspiracy theory going around is that Ryan ordered the Sex talk Tape leaked as a way to give the GOP an excuse to denounce Trump for good.

Water is wet, the Pope is a Catholic, and Donald Trump is obsessed with Hillary's health. It's almost like he doesn't have a response to any of her policy arguments or something.

To be fair he's not wrong, Republicans are abandoning him and being not loyal to him.

However, loyalty is a two-way street, and Trump hasn't done anything to prove he is loyal to the Republican party.

Which makes a lot of sense, really. The closer you are to an election, the less uncertainty there is. I'd probably rather be up by 3% with a week to go than 8% with three months to go.

Interestingly, though, her projected leads of 6% (polls-only) and 4.6% (plus) are right up there, too. Gotta wait for more polls to see if it's even bigger, or maybe Trump can steady the ship.
