I hope that Trump tanks the GOP to almost the maximum extent possible because I calculate that it could give the establishment wing the leverage to really purge the party of the alt right and the Trump supporters and enablers. The party has to be retaken from whichever group hijacked it in order to rebuild itself.

I hope so and they aren't able to recover for 2018. President Obama has already said he will help lead initiatives against gerrymandering after he leaves office.

The probability of one's participation in homosexual acts is directly proportional to one's public disdain and disgust for homosexuals.
If a political figure makes an accusation of wrongdoing without evidence, odds are probable that the accuser or an associate thereof has in fact committed the very same act, possibly to a worse degree.

Then to to Saudi Arabia and fight for that cause there. Don't bother people in a place where all of that is perfectly fine. But you won't, will you? You'd rather scream at Republicans for relatively innocent things than go out there and actually work on real problems.
Okay so apparently these days it's hot and happening to show your gender.

Oh, by the way: gender and sex are the same thing. They are part of a binary system.

I do suppose lying and manipulation is relatively innocent compared to slavery. Doesn't make it okay.
You'd better believe I'm a bitter Bernie Sanders supporter. The Dems fucked up and fucked up hard. Hopefully they'll learn that neoliberalism and maintaining the status quo isn't the way to win this election or any other one. I doubt they will, though.

O'Keefe is not a Republican and he's not innocent (he's been to court and was convicted).

But sure, I'll immediately stop pointing out that he's an idiot who destroyed an organisation over literally nothing. I'm buying an airplane ticket and flying to Saudi Arabia tomorrow. I'm sure I'll be able to help all of the political opposition there.

What does Saudi Arabia has to do in any semblance whatsoever with the United States' political and social climate?

Unless of course you're saying the United States IS Saudi Arabia in which case I have to wonder where have you been the last three centuries, or in fact if you're even aware of the social situation in America right now.

There are problems over here in America that, while hidden from plain sight, are real problems. I convinced a friend to join AmeriCorps the other day because she was doing a soul search as to whether or not she could go into the Peace Corps because it'd take her away from the United States, which she considers her home. I recommended AmeriCorps because it'll throw her either into the United States, one of our territories, or one of our allies in areas of need. Which is far better suited for her outlooks to be honest. And I am trying to schedule a day to go to a school here in Dallas where homeless children go and learn, and are supported by volunteers.

Unlike yourself, who can only sit here and whine that other people do nothing, some of us are out there raising awareness of issues and trying to help and also have the time to tell you that you're wrong.

I like to compare it to the Starving Children in Africa dilemma:

"Why are you not eating your food? There are children starving in Africa who'd want your meal!"

Let's be honest for a moment and let's realize that, if you have to compare a child not liking their food to waste that could go to children in Africa, you neither care for the child nor the children in Africa.

No, more like 31 in 1 billion to be exact.

So far, I’ve found about 31 different incidents (some of which involve multiple ballots) since 2000, anywhere in the country. If you want to check my work, you can read a comprehensive list of the incidents below.

To put this in perspective, the 31 incidents below come in the context of general, primary, special, and municipal elections from 2000 through 2014. In general and primary elections alone, more than 1 billion ballots were cast in that period.

A better analogy would be, "We can't help the homeless here because there are poor hungry people in Africa that need help first." Actually that is the enter US Foreign policy summed up.

Money isn't redirected from homeless spending in the US to Africa based on the logic that we need to help those worst off. Aid is used as leverage and for political stabilisation. States aren't benevolent in foreign policy, every move is (intended to be) purely in the interest of either the state or its allies.

I'm okay with gerrymandering for the most part, with the caveat that the effect is temporary rather than being a permanent advantage. It makes sense from my perspective that if a party wins during a census year that they could tilt the political map very slightly to their favor. If a political party consistently wins, they get to reap the rewards of being in power. I'd expect that the Democrats would be able to do gerrymandering of their own and it isn't exclusive to Republicans.

Since I live in one of those battle ground states I just saw a new Trump add that left me :eyebrow:

It starts off with a picture of Hillary being sworn in as Sec. of State and the voice over says, "Hillary placed her hand on the Bible to uphold the truth, but she lied about Benghazi, lied about taking sniper fire in Bosnia and lied about her emails, why should we believe that she will support and defend the Constitution?"

First off where in the hell does in the oath say you'll tell the truth?
