I can imagine what that smelled like. No bueno

I suppose I shouldn't speak for them, but the more KKKish variety are probably operating on some version of the old Southern "Divinely Ordered Society." In which White folks are supposed to embody Christian ethics, and inspire/force lesser races to follow suit in a sort of paternal fashion.
The more Nazi-ish White supremacists (ignoring the pseudo-Pagan variety) are probably operating on old European ideas of blood libel and the view of Jews as Christ killers.
I know it's difficult to reconcile these with modern mainstream Christianity, but we should keep in mind that these two views of Christianity (especially the second one) are very popular historically. Most Christians in Europe would have held some version of them from about the High Middle Ages on. The Catholic Church only repudiated the charge of deicide in 1964.
So apparently it is possible.

The first one reminds me of Colonial Christianity, which was all the rage during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Bringing civilized morals to savages, and teaching them how to be industrious and hardworking, rather than lazy and poor. Really misguided, and sometimes did much more harm than good.

In the same fashion how Muslim terrorists call themselves Muslim.
Extremism, non-tolerance, hate, they can be instilled in any human regardless of creed.
I'd argue that extremists have lost their faith in humanity, and if they claim a deity, also their faith in god.

Jesus was Jewish, we know, but middle easterners have sufficient variety in appearance that he could have looked vaguely italian like in all those depictions. Granted, it's not particularly likely, but it is possible.

Considering the new covenant binds all peoples into in one people, it really doesn't matter what color he was.

Yes, but seeing liberals posting "Jesus looked like this ooh you Christians are all racists" incessantly on facebook during the election season has stripped me of all patience for people insisting he had some appearance or the other.

Depends on how you define "extremists".
