I disagree with them on Theological grounds, but I think they could be great political allies in some respects.

A lot of what Muslims oppose in terms of social policy are things opposed by Christians, so in that respect they would be great allies against modernism and liberalism.

Of course, they're not because Christian factions in the West have decided to oppose all things Muslim. Which ironically forces them into the arms of the liberals who have decided to win their vote by allowing their immigration (which will probably come around to bite them in the ass in the future).

It's a bit weird to assign modern political labels on Christ, though.

Yeeees but the very concept of libertarianism wasn't present in the first century CE.

I talk a lot about Christ's wish for the uplifting of the poor, the elimination of inequality, and the redistribution of wealth, but it doesn't mean I think Christ was a social democrat or a communist.

It's a bit weird to assign ancient ethical rules on modern society though.

It goes both ways :p

Christian ethics have largely been continuous. Ethics prescribed by Jesus were taken up by the Church, which has preserved and spread these ethics for a couple millennia.

It wouldn't be relevant to them anyway. The New Covenant is between God and Humanity.

So aliens would have their own Christ?

They'd have some form of relationship with God I suppose. Not the same as ours.

Of course, I don't really believe in aliens. At least, none that we'll ever meet.
