Los Angeles is absolutely amazing and incredible despite continuing traffic issues. If you're not into ethnic and cultural diversity, though, it can be a challenge.

You can see films, view artwork, and hear music from around the world. If you like people watching, Venice Beach and Hollywood are unparalleled. The job market is good, the LAPD has taken steps to eliminate corruption and abuse in its ranks, and opportunities for insight, enlightenment, discussion, debate, amusement, and entertainment are nearly endless regardless of one's personal tastes.

They've found that the problem with improving the highways is that regardless of how many new lanes are built, it doesn't actually seem to decrease the time at all. They've started looking more into mass transit. The train system is going through a major expansion, with an actual subway to the sea being built (It'll stop about two blocks from me).

Our train system is reasonably well-managed. It's just subways and light-rail. I have no idea if the high speed train will ever get going. It's a dream of the Governor's, but he hasn't fully convinced all of the necessary people.
