No one wants to be Nero. Plus, I would have thought Caligula or Elagabalus would be more to your liking?

Caligula's also a great pick. I mean, cmon who can beat that "My horse is a consul" gag?

And Elagabalus is the shit. Just a sucker for pain that lil demon.

But ya can't really beat burning down the whole fucking city ya rule. I mean, thats gotta be the gag ta end 'em all right there.

What sort of equality are we talking about here? But order can help the state and society ensure and achieve both liberty and equality.

If I were to define it, then to make the State and it's Citizens as equal as possible and turn them into a unified Nation with leveling - to different degrees - differences of Origin, Class, Income, Heritage and all the other stuff along. Everyone is equal to a point.

Essentially France and to a lesser extend possibly Soviet Union pretty much. Current Germany has traits of this as well.

No. It just defines the priority, or most central motivation imo.

In a way, ya. Equality and Order aren't but liberty's a bit of a wildcard there. If ya want to give the people liberty, yer gonna have ta give up some of that order because people are gonna do disordered things that ya don't like. Equality too. Liberty basically destroys the whole concept of equality of outcome because some people are gonna make really shitty choices. When its just about opportunity its a little less exclusive, but extreme liberty will trample all over that shit pretty fast.

Order for me. But nothing overtly soul crushing, just use it as a tool to get things done.

Edit: Never mind, I pick equality. That is, equality of opportunity.

For this I'll appropriate a quotation by John Locke; 'The end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom.'
Equality too. Liberty basically destroys the whole concept of equality of outcome because some people are gonna make really shitty choices. When its just about opportunity its a little less exclusive, but extreme liberty will trample all over that shit pretty fast.

I'm not an exponent of either 'Equality of Outcome' nor 'Extreme Liberty'.

What if someone thinks "the most important core value of a state ideology" should be something that isn't one of those three?

If ya give people any freedom, some people are gonna fuck up with it and other people are gonna do good with it. The fuck ups get shittier outcomes than the smart ones.

I am not wearing shorts but a navy blue skirt as part of my Holy Britannian School Uniform which is precisely the defined and government approved lenght and size. Which is of course by it's own definition totally disregarding the fact that it does result in occassionally exposure of the underlaying - also by definition - flash white panties who are covering some areas legit Imperial Citizens should not see, unless their view onto them is obstructed and censored by rectangualar black shapes.

Then they should talk to Paradox and get back to me. However, what is your opinion on the matter? What is most important to you?
