No, honestly, I agree. The Chargers kicking game kept them out of the playoffs. It was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen in my life, yet it's true.

As a fan it was really really painful. It was great to see the upturn in the second half of the season but still depressing that awful start held us back from the playoffs. We certainly could've played better than the Bills.

Drawkland wrote:Yeah, but ultimately the game is decided by the amount of points you have at the end of the game, no matter how shitty you played beforehand. In a perfect world, yeah, you'll never need a kicker. But it isn't a perfect world.

If the Chargers had a competent kicker at the beginning of the season, they would've made the playoffs. That's an absolute fact. They went 9-7, if their kicker had made the kick at the end of the Dolphins game in Week 2, they'd have gone 10-6 and made the playoffs via wildcard.

Anyway, that's why they need a good kicker. They've lost too many games the last 2 years on special teams failures and the kicking situation is mainly to blame.

The Cowboys game, too, wasn't it? Or did they not have a punter? Because I feel like they had to go for it on 4th down in the red zone like every drive.

Our kicker got injured, so the only kicking-related person we had was the punter who'd never attempted a placekick as a professional or even in college. That's why he missed the practice net on the sideline. So yeah that was why we had to keep going for it on 4th down because he clearly wasn't in any condition to be kicking field goals.

Luckily though, that night Rivers was on fire and threw for like 400 yards. So we ended up not needing a kicker.

Commence the accusations of "They got an easy one" and "We're so fucked." In other words, the schedule is out.

Classic NFL fucking over the Seahawks specifically against Green Bay.

Put the Rams on a Sunday, and then put Green Bay on a Thursday night game so we can't rest. Perfect. I remember a certain Thursday Night game last year that fucked up the season.

I'm scared for the Hawks' end of season schedule: 49ers, Vikings, @49ers, Chiefs, Cards.

If the end-of-season Niners turn out to be the real deal, we're fucked.

This league always kisses certain teams asses. GB is definitely on that list. It also shits on some teams regularly too. Nothing new, but it is fucked up.

This giants schedule is pretty hard, the nfc south and afc south.

Titans get New England at home. I just wish it was a week later, otherwise I might be able to fly down to Nashville to see it. I think they have a legit shot to go 11-5 with this schedule if they can sweep the Jags again, which is a real possibility.

So I'm going to my first giants game ever, flying into new York to watch the titans beat the giants.

The Bolts' schedule seems alright. In theory, all of the games are winnable. I predict the most trouble to be with the Rams and the Steelers. Knowing the Chargers though we'll go like 8-8.

The only thing that miffs me about this schedule is that we only have one primetime game all season (Week 15 TNF vs Chiefs). Obviously this will suck for player reasons, but at least we'll be wearing those sweet sweet color rush unis again this year.

Not expecting much out of the Lions due to a tough schedule and division, but excited to see what Matt Patricia can offer.

If I try now am I likely to be able to still secure tickets to the giants-titans game?

This should be a really fun season. I'm excited for rematches against the Saints, Eagles, Rams, and Seahawks. Also, it'll be a pleasure to (hopefully) give Jimmy G his first loss as a starter!

5 playoff teams and the Pack with Rodgers back. Also, didn't we just open against the 49ers two years ago?

None of those rematches sound fun, except for the Seahawks. Plus having to play against the unstoppable, undefeated freight train that is Jimmy Garoppolo is (apparently) a nightmare. Good luck to your team.

Giants are going to have a bounce back year imo. Don't count them out quite yet.

And you should be able to get tickets, yeah.

Right. I recall losing 20-3 to a team that ended up being god-awful that year. What a nightmare. Well, it's definitely time to atone for that.

Please do, Cleveland. I'll love you forever if you keep him far away from Denver.

If cleveland drafts Josh Allen that would be the most cleveland move possible
