Um... I know none of them was especially good, but Tomlin does know he has to put a secondary on the field, next season, right?

It's one thing to make the figurative observation that Pittsburgh has no secondary, it's quite another to literally have no corners or safeties on the roster. :P

You want Patrick Robinson? The Saints just signed him for some stupid reason.

He's a good slot corner, had 4 picks last season for Philly, and is generally solid in coverage. I'm aware that the saints have good outside corners, but Robinson makes it even harder to pass on them and, with Lattimore, helps this secondary be a turnover machine.

Besides, he had 8 picks in what was effectively 4 seasons in New Orleans. No matter what anyone says about guys ball-hawking and blowing coverage as a result, corners that can produce turnovers are a nice thing to have.

Also, Jets got the 3rd overall pick from the Colts for a trio of second round picks. Two this year, one next year.

I mean, are you joking Indianapolis? three second round picks for the THIRD OVERALL? That's actually disgusting.

Richard Sherman is such a stuck-up prick, goes for like 3 days saying that we ended on good terms and then turns around to bash Pete, the coach that got him to two super bowls had it not been for one play (also could go back to when the defense gave up a 3rd and 17).

Gonna draft Baldwin first pick in my draft next year just for the 49er games when he lights up Sherman for 200 yards and 3 touchdowns.

I'm trying to discern in which manner you think it's disgusting. It sounds to me like you think the Jets got the good deal here (though perhaps I misinterpret).

With the sixth pick in addition to three 2nd round picks, I'd say the Colts fleeced the Jets. That's a second round pick for each spot they moved up. (I've always thought those first few picks were ridiculously overpriced). And let's be honest, it's the Jets. Whoever's taken at #3 will likely be a bust.

Eh, there were obviously issues in the first place, and we don't have the whole story.

But we all know Baldwin isn't lighting up Sherman like that. XD

It's really true. The patriots' defensive line could use a new one, as they need to keep it in tip-top shape, otherwise, they're going to collapse in games. Their games are going to become 64-65 kind of games without a good defensive line. They also need a good offensive line, otherwise, Brady will get his ass kicked, cause he can't run.

This makes me think the giants ARE NOT going to select a qb, and will either trade down, or select a playmaker to gear up for a last run with Eli. Well probably a last 2 to 3 runs...

Brady has made it work with worse O-Lines than what we are likely to be seeing this season. He's not a runner but he's got some good mobility in the pocket - better, actually, than when he first came into the league, despite his age. D-Line they've picked some people up. They also added the other McCourty to the secondary but I still feel like they're gonna need someone else. We saw how atrocious it was without Butler. Could McCourty fill the role? Perhaps. I just would like to see someone else come in too.

If he is finally healthy this could be a great pickup.

Actually, with roughly half of the money being guaranteed, it cleared a lot off money up in the salary cap. We've retained several key players from last season.

There's still time left for free agency, well we'll see what happens. But Snead was injury prone for more than half the year.
