I highly disagree.

Oh wow, woods and streams, I couldn't possibly find this anywhere else in the UK.

Were it not obvious, yes I am drunk.
My alcohol tolerance has really tanked, I was past tipsy on 3.8 units (710cl) of Corona on Saturday, and tonight on 4 bottles (330ml) of Tiger beer.
Though tbh, that's 2.5 shots of pure alcohol, or 100ml of spirits equivalent.

Eh, Lincolnshire (North, at any rate) is close enough to Yorkshire I guess.

We have a demarcation line that drains a fifth of England.

I've been to scunthorpe, it's okay, but what really what sets Yorkshire apart in my opinion is the sense of togetherness that's felt within it's borders I've never found that in the midlands to my dismay where I went to uni and now where I live. In London there is some of that, but one part of London hates the other, it's like class conflict was given an earthly location to battle it out and that place was London. Also I'm jealous my high tolerance some times annoys me. Costs me a fortune in clubs.

How have predrinks slipped you buy?
Cost-efficient, fun in its own right, can sometimes morph from "pre-drinks" to "unplanned house party" and you get to not feel bad about chugging quite nice alcohol.

Reminder that that photo represents a tiny fraction of the entire AONB coverage. Notice how most of it is up north or in the south west.

Most of the countryside in the UK is beautiful. I prefer the S.E brand.

There are to many buildings there. The S. E. is to cramped.

The greatest county is Inverness, because of whisky and let's face it, haunted houses are fairly commonplace, but a lake with a monster, now, that's something.

I agree with you there. I particularly like the Isle of Wight and the South, and crossing from Cumbria into Scotland.

So after a long think I have settled on Caernarvonshire as best county.

Oh don't get me wrong I'm usually fully loaded on pre-drinks but when your with the uninitiated they sometimes insist on going straight out and thats when my bank account cries. Usually these days now that I'm living with roomates and out of my parents it's predrinks and nothing else as I don't know stoke on trent at all. I tend to get all the eights (mates) in ring of fire and get absolutely smashed though.

Predrinks is a ritual and is more fun than the night out. It's easy to go overboard though - me and my friends threw away about half a bottle of jager thinking it was the right amount for the few energy drinks we had. Waste.

Alcohol tolerance is mostly diet and activity, I've found, so maybe it's because those Tigers didn't go with a curry.

Unless you're like me and are the only person in the flat who didn't go out drinking every night.

I don't drink much anymore.

The first is full of algae. The second is a pub.

So was that. Last year I seemed to be shacked up with sane people.

Aside from that time the two Spanish students decided to start wrestling in the corridor at 4AM.

Every night? Every night? First year we tried for two good nights a week, and occasionally flew of the hinges and went out on a Saturday but that was first year... and I was insane. funnily enough probably the high point of my mental health whilst I was at uni.

I gained three stone from three nights out and three-five takeouts a week in first year.

Glorious hedonism, but boy has it messed me up.

In my college, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday are the going out nights. Tuesday is a rest day and most students go home at the weekend, probably go out in their home town on Friday and Saturday also.

I don't track my weight as well as I should but it does shoot up when I'm away from home.

Despite plenty of gym time. I just have no dietary self-control.

*snaps fingers sassily*

You haven't seen no dietary control.
As we speak, I'm debating going to Tesco up the road and buying a tub of Karamelsutra B&J ice cream, which I will eat in one sitting as soon as I get back.

Amen. When I'm burning through energy like no ones business tap tap tapping away on one project or another energy in sugar form is just so very tempting to get me through this deadline or the next. I'm much better at cooking now though I think...

The Americans need a thread like this, we don't have a thread for every remotely different thing that happens.
