i can't wait to being in a new era of true equality for britain as a tory MP

*conservatives cut maternity leave without instituting paternity leave*

wait no that's not what i meant

*conservatives end affirmative action without instituting anything in its place to ensure equality of opportunity*

it keeps happening

*women-only domestic violence shelters die out to lack of funding with no intention to open anything in their place for men or women*

ask moderation about reading serious moderation candidates TGs without telling them about it until afterwards and/or apparently refusing to confirm/deny the exact timeline of TG reading ~~~ i hope you never sent any of the recent mods or the ones that got really close anything personal!

signature edit: confirmation has been received. they will explicitly do it before and without asking. they can look at TGs basically whenever they want so please keep this in mind when nominating people for moderator or TGing good posters/anyone!

They wouldn't let me be an MP yet I doubt. Councillor maybe, and there I think i'm solid based on my charity work and community connections.

If I were going to make a run for it, i'd also avoid parliament before taking on the welsh assembly to demonstrate proof of concept. Just run a "I'm a different, socially liberal-egalitarian tory, end labours vice-grip on this institution blah blah blah", flip the assembly tory, then just demand further devolved powers and instittue a bunch of crap while trolling everyone in the UK conservative party who doesn't hold to my values.

"We demand devolved powers."
*legalizes drugs*

"But muh border smuggling."

"Sounds like your policies aren't implementable in the real world while also respecting democracy and self-determination, fam. Come tourism in wales everyone, we're building a new vegas, but without the radscorpions." etc.

If/when that kind of shit worked and got me popular amongst edgelords, i'd make a run for tory leadership straight from there based on my terrific, incredibly, bigly improvement of welsh GDP and stuff.

But more likely, i'll just be a councillor and end up screaming about bin collection.

The only way a maverick run can work is through the devolved assemblies I think.

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. But will the Rt. Hon. Ostro be forced to resign in disgrace when he's arrested for doing all the drugs, or will the Home Office interpret their super vague ban on everything in such a way as to get him off the hook?

Ok, they didn't have stuff they could fire and hit us in 13 minutes.

They did, they're called ballistic missiles. We had four minute's warning, if you remember.

They're referencing it as "Satan 2", a name no-one will give it, which is presumably in reference to the R-36M ICBM that was known to NATO as SS-18 Satan.

R-36M was also a low-observable countermeasure-carrying MIRV bus so I don't get the Mirror's excessively sensational reporting here. It was developed from the R-36 (SS-9) which dates back to 1974.

No idea what the shit they're talking about with "nation killer" and "Texas killer" warheads. Big unitary warheads are mostly a waste of material anyway and reduce survivability of the package.

Honestly, the only thing you need to do to be acceptable as a council candidate is turn up and not get caught stealing council funds. And in the latter case, UKIP will still have you.
