Imagine myself (as a Labourite), you and Nihil (Tory) were on a local council. If I had to go to someone to talk to from your side of the bench, I'd go to Nihil. His views are widely differing from me and there would be little common ground for us to agree on, but I can actually speak to him without being disrespected or abused. If you're failing to get on with members of your own party, why are you suited to having a political role at all?

That's nonsense. Just because you disagree with the Tory mentality, you use the class stereotype around us in the Conservative Party to hit back. Maybe if Labour attempted to argue rather than focus on class (which Thatcher did a lot to eradicate in terms of hindrance,) then you would be elected.

I actually think it's pretty horrible. As someone who is been told 'oh you're not a proper Labourite' or (most recently) 'the modern liberal masquerading as a socialist takes a bow', it is really stinging to be told you don't belong in a party that you fundamentally want to get into government and make a difference.
