Really? You do know what Rules of Engagement are? The military must try every means necessary before they shoot someone. If the fucking military can do that I'm sure the police can too. Also in what why is a deaf man going to harm you? You do realize that the victim's brother said that he was scared of the police because of these iffy shootings!

Ask the military if an armed man aiming his weapon at American soldiers is a good shoot or not. I am pretty much 100% certain that it would be a good kill.

The man was deaf, not suffering from a muscle disease that made him unable to move his arms. A deaf man can fight about as well as a hearing man.

Well, that and the whole "escalation of force" chart. Which IIRC is "verbal warning, chamber weapons, level weapons, safe warning shot, open fire". I think.

Ok first off it is well documented that the military has ROEs. Second the SF and regular forces do tend to operate on different rules at times. Third if a male was aiming a weapon that would cause a lot of damage, was to far away to be reasoned with and/or was hidden from view, it is then considered an escalation of force and a justification for lethal force to be used. Fourth, what the hell does any of this have to do with the police murdering a deaf man?!

Militaries can always shoot first at a legitimate target. Cops and citizens can shoot first if they believe they are in immenant danger.
