The Black Panther Party dissolved in 1982. That some of the membership is still alive or that the ideas they held carry on does not mean the organization is not completely defunct.

They were carrying placards saying 14 Words, which is a white supremacist slogan penned by David Lane, who took part in the murder of a Jewish talk show host: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children"

I don't think the non-violent BLM groups are that much of a threat if any. The BLM group in Atlanta is very non-violent and very respectful of the police.
