Yeah, it was amusing to watch, especially the 4chan users spreading across reddit like a wildfire.

1) Go shopping.
2) Make a chicken salad for dinner.
3) Do laundry for the whole family.
4) Take care of the trash and recycling that was piling up.

Tonight, I'll be the one keeping an eye on the kid until the night nurse shows up at 3 a.m. (they've had issues filling that shift, so we take what we can get), and then I'll be able to relax and grab a drink. Until then, though, I feel mildly accomplished.

The usual summer trolls aside, NS for some reason just doesn't seem to present itself as a lulzworthy enough target for a massive attack. We're not as big as something like Reddit or Tumblr, so that's fewer lulz already due to a smaller population. Despite the jokes about NSG being a liberal echo-chamber, we've also got a very diverse population as far as opinions go, so fewer lulz because a diverse population is going to be harder to generate the desired response from compared to a more homogeneous population where you can set off more people with less effort.

A fully left-leaning website? Maximum lulz easily achieved by posing as Nazi or other far-right ideological trolls. Far-right website? Max lulz by showing up as a bleeding-heart socialist liberal. Atheist website? Strap on a Bible and you can easily stir them into a frothing frenzy of lulz. Religious website? Start spewing Dawkins quotes and you get the same end result. A site like Nationstates already has people arguing almost any and all viewpoints, there are very, very few things you can say here that will get a rise out of everyone, or even a vast majority; and fewer still that would generate that reaction that wouldn't get pretty swiftly shut down for trolling/spamming/whatever.
