I've become a lot more sympathetic to Communism recently after learning that "withering away of the state" doesn't mean an end to national governments, but merely the state as a class entity.

Nations, as in the kind with specific borders, don't exactly exist in communism.

Because the state, in a Marxist sense, does not mean a government. It means an entity that is used to maintain the control of the economy for a particular class.
