I believe I should have the Freedom to say whatever I like no matter how offensive without negative consequences ( free to criticise me though ).
And do as I like with in the confines of the law.

Pros: Meritocracy, Monarchy, Egalitarianism, free speech and free expression (Most of these are a given)

Cons: Feminism, people who put feelings before fact, and Islam also people who think the "Guilty until proven innocent" mentality is acceptable.

I think that the association between burqas and terrorism is somewhat unfair- it's not representative of terrorism. It's not right to conflate the trappings of terrorism with the cultural heritage of the Middle East. There is a correlation, sure, but it isn't special to terrorist groups, any more than semi-automatic weapons or t-shirts.

Very mixed feelings on this.

On one hand, I'm not convinced that oppressing an oppressive dress code is in itself oppressive. But I don't subscribe to a consequentalist viewpoint most of the time, and I think it would be intellectually dishonest to start doing so now.

On the other hand there are fairly strict dress codes in France when it comes to swimming, and it isn't limited to women or Muslims. I don't think you'll see the Burkini banned outside of France, especially because of their rather agressive approach to secularism.
