Okkk then.

Of course he didn't. People like that are their base. Why would he just insult their add like that?

Most Americans, both Democrats, Independents, Third Partiers and Republicans see David Duke as deplorable. That's why.

Not Trump though. To Trump and co, Duke is a real American.

Donald Trump for Pres

Postby Aquariose » Mon Sep 12, 2016 2:57 pm

He is the perfect fit. America needs a leader who can make the country prosperous and Donald Trump has the money, man power and experience to do so. He has the ability to take something bad and make it good again. This is exactly what the Americans have been looking for but they shut it down just because of some rumours and funky hair.

But have they run a complete check of all her behaviour against the PCL-R?

Which IIRC includes a lot of childhood stuff we probably don't know.

All of Trump's money isn't a drop in the bucket of the Federal budget, and in any case he doesn't like spending his money.
Donald Trump's "man power" is actually a worry. Imagine him appointing his friends to Cabinet ... folks like Larry Silverstein or Roger Ailes. Jeffrey Epstein for Secretary of Education, wouldn't that be great?
Donald Trump has NO relevant experience. He's never sat even on a city council.

Trump's hair is funny, but the hair isn't the problem.

The way that's going down confirms a misgiving I've had for some time, about "we need better mental health care in this country".

Both sides seem to think it's a good idea (but won't do it because it's dauntingly expensive) so what they settle on is banning mentally ill people from buying guns, or some kind of "mental health check" to get on a plane or work as a teacher. It's easier to ban something than to fix it of course.

Even if they did provide mental health care as an obligatory part of every health plan, and put it on Medicaid, and train up a hundred thousand new therapists, there would still be a stigma attached to needing "that kind" of medical assistance. The stigma would only be worse if people expected that their medical records would be delved into and they'd be outed for an adverse diagnosis some time in the past.

Offering more mental health service would be great, but it should be offered with MORE protection of medical privacy not less. The unfounded accusations from both sides about the mental health of Clinton and Trump is totally the opposite of that, and is actually making the stigma of mental illness worse.

It occurs to me that in the time a thread runs, someone who voted in the poll might change their mind about who they support. Maybe enable vote changing in the next poll?

I'm not going to be the OP so I can't say yes or no to that.

Professional pollsters do sometimes ask "head to head" ... how the person would vote if there were only the two major candidates on the ballot ... but it's a separate question. That can't be done with an NS poll.

Anticipating the suggestion of having extra questions on the same poll: it doesn't really work. The OP can enable two votes per user and instruct them to cast one in the 4-way section of the poll and the other in the head-to-head, but the OP can't enforce that. So what would happen is that people who like Johnson and Clinton (for instance) would vote twice in the first section of the poll (the 4-way) and this would mess the results up pretty badly.

So it's a choice between one kind of poll or another, and given the Johnson support here there would be strong objection to leaving him off the poll.
