I...I really hope this doesn't become a major story in the news cycle, I want Trump to say something horrible because if we focus on this for 1 week, I might die.

If Fox News could dedicate an entire news cycle to the latte salute, they can certainly dedicate at least that much to Clinton not feeling well after a relatively long period of exposure to heat.

I actually have some hope for Fox News. It seems that since Ailes has left and Trump has attacked the network..the hosts are starting to see the writing on the walls. They must know that the network is falling apart and they need to not be extreme if they want to be at CNN or MSNBC or CBS or ABC or even PBS. Greta left the network because "it doesn't feel like home". Shep Smith said Voter ID laws are passed by Republicans to stop blacks from voting. Megyn Kelly seems to be more biting and honest than usual. Sean Hannity has basically gone all in for Trump and probably thinks that after the loss, he'll have a place on the Trump New Network. Bill O'Reilly is sounding more libertarian than conservative these days. Then of course, Chris Wallace isn't having any of Trump's shit. It's like, for years they had been restricted because Ailes controlled the narrative an would send memos about what to say and not to say on TV. But now that the network is collapsing...the coverage seems more honest in some ways, or at least there's a change. If Ailes were there, I think this would be big...without Ailes...I think it's conceivable that only Hannity and Fox & Friends cover this non-story.

Doesn't it look like Donny is giving a handjob to Bill Clinton just out of camera range? They seem rather chummy. 'Where is Monica when you need her?" ...was probably the joke.

Just Like a Madman ~ (apologies to Bob Dylan)

Hillary feels all my pain
Tonight as I stand inside your brain
Ev'rybody knows
That Donny's got new clothes
But lately I see his corner cutting woes
Has Putin for his thug

He fakes just like a madman, yes, he does
He makes war just like a madman, yes, he does
And he takes just like a madman
But he breaks necks like a little thug

Pope Franny
He's my friend
Yes, I believe I'll go see him again
Nobody has to guess
That Donny can't be blessed
Till he sees finally that he's like all the rest
With his logs, his adding machine and his mugs

He fakes just like a madman, yes he does
He makes threats just like a madman, yes, he does
And he takes just like a madman
But he breaks necks like a little thug

It was raining from the first
And she was coughing there of thirst
So she came in here
And your long-time curse hurts
But what's worse
Is this pain in here

We can't stay in here
Ain't it clear that
Trump's full of shit
Yes, we believe it's true he is not fit
But when we meet again
Introduced as friends
Please don't let on that you knew me when
I was angry an' Bill an' you were snug

Ah, you're fake just like a madman, yes, you do
You make war just like a madman, yes, you do
Then you take just like a madman
But you break necks like a little thug

"Finally"? The right-wing media has been screeching about Clinton's health for weeks. Also, no, this is not "yuuuge". A sixty-eight-year-old woman feeling mildly unwell after prolongued exposure to heat is not "yuuuge" news, and as far as I know does not count as a sign of specially poor health.

If this sort of lame conspiracy theories is all you have, I suggest you rethink your political choices.

"The media" (which isn't a homogenous block anyway, despite all the efforts by various agendas to vilify it as such) does not favour Clinton the way Republicans pretend.

In many cases, they've been harping incessantly, for ages, on every real and manufactured Clinton scandal they can get their grubby paws on.

And as for her "poor health"- what of it? Seriously.

FDR fought WWII from a God Damn wheelchair.

When their is evidence of mental/cognitive issues (there isn't), get back to me. Until then, this is, or at least should be, a non-issue.

I mean- are we really going to make a would-be dictator President over a stumble?
"Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy." - President Abraham Lincoln.

Well just recently Little Bill alienated every blue collar voter by mocking "the coal people." It's as if the Clintons are TRYING to be as unlikable as possible.

And Hillary even admitted to the FBI that she couldn't remember key details due to her concussion..... unfit to lead.

US General Election Thread III: Clinton vs. Trump

Postby Alien Space Bats » Sun Sep 11, 2016 11:58 am

Socialist Nordia wrote:Trump supporters wanted to get political correctness out of politics. They got what they wished for when they were called a "basket of deplorables". Hillary finally came out and said something off the cuff(that was very true) and now they're acting all offended. They're a bunch of hypocrites. After they've backed a man who has disparaged countless groups of actual hard-working Americans shamelessly, they're going to act offended after finally being called out for who they really are.

The Alternative Right has only gotten half of what it wants in this election.

The war on "political correctness" is not just a war to normalize offensive ideas like racism, sexism, xenophobia, and (ultimately) neo-fascism; it is also a war to silence the opponents of such ideas. The idea is not just to use a critic's supposed "political correctness" as a shield against condemnation; it is also to turn "political correctness" into a sword (or, more properly, a muzzle) to reverse the old terms of engagement and make being "politically correct" taboo. This is because the Alternative Right understands that, even if allowed to crawl out from beneath the rotting wood pile where their ideas fester, they still won't prevail in the grand marketplace of ideas. To win, they have to make ideas like racial and sexual equality the targets of ridicule and outrage; then and only then can they have the future Hell they so fervently desire.

As for Trump, he was pretty much an unrestrained high school bully. There's actually a reason Biff Tannen (in Back to the Future I, II & III) was modelled after The Donald...

Go on all you want about their mocking of voters, but polling has consistently shown that a considerably high number of Trump supporters are indeed in that basket. Even many the poor white working people. It's true. However if you're too politically correct to handle it, that's alright.
