I don't find either one appealing, interesting, or particularly funny.

Family Guy has the scene of God lighting a fart to create the universe. Nothing, I repeat NOTHING, beats that.

the Simpsons is currently on negative points for becoming a boring show that you watch but know that you won't enjoy it however yes back in the day it was hilarious

Family guy is still hilarious if mostly for the random acts of extreme violence/offense

Earlier episodes of the Simpsons were the best in my opinion. Even nowadays some odd funny thing comes out, but maybe they should put the Moe's Tavern prank calls back on.

From the poll, I vote The Simpsons, otherwise my preference is American Dad.

I like when they make fun of Meg. If an episode of the Family Guy makes fun of Meg then I like it better than the average Simpsons episode, otherwise I like the Simpsons better generally.

Overall, I rank the shows based on how many times it makes me laugh out loud and something. I can't help but laugh when they pick on Meg so it helps.

Is this a serious question? Family Guy is a pale subpar version of the Simpsons, from its set-up right down to its tone. Even the guys at South Park didn't have much to ding the Simpsons for, because that show is the godfather of prime-time animated series.

That is my 2nd favorite in a tie with the Simpsons. But when Peter always get hurt in the knee..... I cant help but to laugh. "What do you bring to a picnic?" "Sandwiches!?", "Beer!?", "uuummm.....Hot dogs!?","Cole slaw!?", "A DEAD LOUS!?"

The Simpsons is a medium to "Laugh Out Loud" ( Which Family Guy does all the time ) funny because the only target a certain amount of people each Episode. But Family Guy and Futurama go all out on "Crude Humor" which Family Guy does all the time and Futurama does soft but affective. But all kinda act like TOTAL RETARDS all the time. But Family Guy is getting a slight edge along with Futurama cause both are "Laugh Out Loud" funny but Simpsons is nippi'n at it once in a while.

The Simpsons would have been my choice years ago, but it has been showing its age for a while. Family guy has gotten a few laughs out of me, but it's mostly just random crap.
Now, there is only one good cartoon in my opinion, South Park.
Wait an hour, and it will be now again

The Simpsons.

It's a classic. Their decline came after a lot more seasons than Family Guy (and adding a video clip of 3 minutes into an episiode? Really? That's like those white pages Stephanie Meyer put into Twillight).

Family Guy is pure fratboy humour, and that's not my style, so I'll go with the Simpsons.

This, although I prefer South Park to all of them. I've never really liked Family Guy to be honest; too disjointed, too predictable and far too self-consciously "quirky" and prurient.

I'd rather have to guess what the characters in South Park are saying than listen to the inane babble of the Family Guy cast.

family guy is pretty much the same thing as the Simpsons, except they are all a bunch of obnoxious 13 year-olds. The Simpsons have been around so much longer, and besides, look how many spin offs family guy needs, they will probably last another 5 years.
