BBC has a test where you can find the Olympic athlete most similar to you. I got some German footballer or a Turkish steeplechaser.

British judoka Sally Conway goes into the quarter final of the women's 70kg class. Usually unremarkable, but the manner she won was so surprising, she won by ippon while I wasn't looking

You've got 11,000+ athletes from 206 countries participating, and 100,000+ spectators from even more nations? If Zika wanted to truly become a global epidemic, it would start in Rio De Janeiro right now. The fact that the World Health Organization authorized Rio to be the 2016 Olympics destination even with it being such a dirty city tells me that something else was going on behind the scenes. I would prefer Sochi over this dump.

You do know that zika is only transmissible through a certain mosquito, that happens to proliferate in hot areas only, preferably wet ones?

That was pretty fast. Especially for a victory by ippon.

Zero. The doped up Russian athletes parachuted in and stole them all. They even took the 40 celebration cakes they had for the closing ceremony.

I knew things were bad with the facilities but you would expect there to be working extinguishers there.

You'd better believe I'm a bitter Bernie Sanders supporter. The Dems fucked up and fucked up hard. Hopefully they'll learn that neoliberalism and maintaining the status quo isn't the way to win this election or any other one. I doubt they will, though.
