What, did they catch them using robotic prosthetics and motorized wheelchairs?

And despite the fact that Argentina had other good players, it was clear that their tactic was simple: Leave it to Messi.
Which is a problem. Now it's going to be their fault when they play without their best player, in years to come.
Danggone it Brazil. Stahp. What are you doing?! STAHP?! XD

I've heard it's likely Messi will play for Argentina again, probably in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Not a horrible theory. I hate how NBC only shows certain sports.
Next Olympics though there might be a North Korea South Korea rivalry to watch.

There is a national appeal for him to play again. AFA (the national organization of football for Argentina) is making changes, mostly to eradicate corruption and to make the national team better. So there's a chance.

It strikes me as a bit of an empty gesture - they didn't have the cojones to kick Russia out of the Olympics, so to make up for it they boot them out of the Paralympics. I find it difficult to believe that Russia's Paralympic team is more guilty of doping than their Olympic team.

Let's hope they don't make him do all the work next time.

A sportcaster was commenting that US, not sure if just the tv networks or also the US olympic team, wanted the US to be the last to be named in the opening show of the Olympics. Seems that way they could have more air time. But the Brazilians said no. Then they even went by the Portuguese alphabet which means the US got stock with the nations whose names start with the letter "E" in Portuguese. US in Portuguese and Spanish is "Estados Unidos".

And then they complain about Russian doping. There should be rules against ringers playing against non-ringers.A ringer is a clearly superior competitor who is introduced into an event to gain an unfair advantage

For those that do not know what a ringer is -
Can nations have non nationals represent them?
