It strikes me as a bit of an empty gesture - they didn't have the cojones to kick Russia out of the Olympics, so to make up for it they boot them out of the Paralympics. I find it difficult to believe that Russia's Paralympic team is more guilty of doping than their Olympic team.

As far as I am aware, the IPC and IOC are two different organisations.

As much as I love my American sports, this is true. Men's basketball, they showed NONE of China's highlights. Not that there were many to look at (lol), but I do agree on this. They need to have someone from a neutral country (like Ireland) covering events like that.

Seems that way they could have more air time. But the Brazilians said no. Then they even went by the Portuguese alphabet which means the US got stock with the nations whose names start with the letter "E" in Portuguese. US in Portuguese and Spanish is "Estados Unidos".
