To reiterate what others have said, Trump's statement was clearly made for humorous effect. Any suggestion that it is somehow actionable as "treason" makes you look stupid and paranoid, so I implore my fellow Democrats to cease with that line of attack.

I wouldn't say he committed treason, but it was certainly a senseless since it makes it look like he's patting foreign espionage on the back if they further his campaign. Certainly he should be happy about the email hack, it was probably what put him in the lead, but he shouldn't come out and say something like this.

I would say he just torpedoed his own campaign except he's said so many senseless things before they've become a signature with him. The man is steel coated with teflon, he just says whatever he wants, he's immune to scandal because he lives and breathes scandal and scandalizes the nation on purpose.

Doral, Florida — Donald Trump called on Russia to hack Hillary Clinton's email on Wednesday.

"Russia, if you're listening I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press," Trump said during a news conference in Florida.

Shortly after his event ended, Trump repeated his call on Twitter.

"If Russia or any other country or person has Hillary Clinton's 33,000 illegally deleted emails, perhaps they should share them with the FBI!" Trump tweeted.

Trump also suggested during his news conference that Russian President Vladimir Putin's lack of respect for the U.S. prompted him to once call President Barack Obama "the N word." There are no published reports to back up Trump's claim about Putin's use of the racially derogatory term.

"I was shocked. Number one, he doesn't like him. Number two, he doesn't respect him," Trump said.

He called Russia's potential involvement in the hack another sign of Russia's "disrespect for our country."

Russia already offered to release Hilary's emails that they hacked back in 2013 and again in January of this year. Each time they were ignored (at least publically. CIA director

It is old news that Russia already has intercepted most if not all of her emails. Politico already reported it in 2015. Other news sources has talked about it at least since 2013. Zero Hedge and other sites has links to the news. One of the former CIA directors said that respectable (I cannot remember the exact choice of phrase) would already have the desired information. Russia has already offered to release them to our State Dept, but for "some reason" they refused.

Regardless of what the intent was or the reaction to it, it was some of the dumbest shit I've seen in a long time.
