It's just another example of leftist hypocrisy and double standards.

I think you'll find a lot of the left criticises the NSA more harshly than the right does. Not that I'd know, I'm not a leftist.

Isn't that what you're doing by trying to deflect away from the fact that Trump is calling for one of the West's enemies to breach our security?

Rhetorical question.

That and as far as we know the hacks were not used to affect the elections of those countries. That is a key difference. Another key difference is that the hacks were not done at the request, or with the approval of another person running for a major office.

The GOP didn't want Donald Trump to begin with, he beat 16 other candidates in the primaries fair and square, and when it came time for the party convention, the Never Trump camp didn't have any candidate to challenge Trump with. In addition to failing to achieve a rules change that would deny him the nomination, their opposition evidently not being strong enough.

Like it or not, the Donald has made it as far as he has. He is in 2016's race for good.

By a foreign government tho? One that definitely doesn't like the US? It's one thing for an American whistleblower to do it, another thing entirely for a foreign power to do so.

The Republican primaries were rigged against Donald Trump but he managed to win anyways, in spite of any obstacles put forth to try to stop his rise to front runner status. His primary opponents could be divided and conquered in a crowded field and once it narrowed, his opponents weren't united against Trump until it was too late. Trump could have a string of victories whilst his opponents were fighting each other.

Maybe this whole campaign is a sick joke? I hope so.

Meanwhile, people in the national security community (like Hayden) don't think it's funny. Maybe they expect that a candidate for President of the United States carries himself like a professional or at least a decent human being, and not a thin-skinned, loud mouthed, ignorant, eager-to-opine manchild.

These some 30,000 emails are already deleted. What Trump is saying is that Russia likely already have these emails, which is likely the case. These emails are so bad that the FBI could not release them because they were a risk to our security. That being said, Trump should not have asked Russia to release them. If Trump somehow gets convicted of treason, which this is not, then shouldn't Hillary Clinton, who put emails that breach national security so badly that the FBI couldn't release them onto a unsecure server with an extreme likely hood that they'd be hacked by another country be convicted of treason?

Even if he wasn't, its not like Russia and China aren't already trying to constantly hack US servers and whatnot anyway. Clinton got away with committing a crime which would be punishable if anyone else did it, at least if the russians found it they might put it all out in the public.

Lookin at you Madame Clinton.

I don't think it is anyone's fault Donald Trump was afraid to debate Ted Cruz when it came down to the two of them. Let's see if he refuses to debate Hillary Clinton.

That's not what Trump was saying. Only after realising (or his campaign realising) just how fucking stupid and arguably unlawful his comments were, did there arise this ridiculous notion of it being a joke.

Say something "edgy", wait to see the response, then decide if you were sincere or "just kidding". Super fucky.
