Hey! Earth to you! 2004 was 12 years ago!

I thought liberals stopped cowering in fear at the thought of the US becoming a Christian theocracy many years ago. If you really believe such delusions, I wonder how you make it through life with such paranoia.

Did you not fucking see the GOP field this year?

Found something I agree with: https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/twit ... 08204.html

Michelle Ferrier, an associate dean at Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication and founder of the anti-harassment project TrollBusters, wrote in an e-mail: “We see this type of hate happening all the time on Twitter, yet Twitter only responds swiftly when it’s a public figure who is in harm’s way.”

There was no clear set rule to ban Milo, AFAIK. If there is, kudos to Twitter. However, there were probably clear cut instances, considering Twitter's audience size, when the rules were violated and the offenders were not banned. This again shows the double-standard between the haves and the have-nots. If Twitter wants to stand by Milo's ban, which is their right, they should clearly explain the ban and, more importantly, enforce that against those who harass non celebrities from all sides of the spectrum. Is it Twitter or twitland?

Tell that to the GOP's platform, and the GOP's continued attempts to pass legislation that enables anti-LGBT+ discrimination.

Given that Trump wanted John Kasich to be his VP in exchange for making him Dick Cheney 2.0 I'm sure Pence would have PLENTY of power to do so.

Scathing, salty sarcasm aside, all they have to do is better moderate their servers.

That won't stop the material circulating, only slow it.
Besides, it's not like Twitter's inconsistent and infrequent moderation of their own rules is news. People have been calling for them to address harassment for ages.

Yes, businesses should have to right to deny service for whatever they want. Religion or not. They just have to deal with the consequences of the customer going to another business that will serve them. To a small business like a small town bakery, that's valuable revenue lost. However, if the businesses are willing to take the profit hit, then they should be allowed to.

And me, alt-right? Haha that's funny. I don't think about Jews trying to control everything, etc. While I do believe that there are some rather shady, powerful individuals who are working together to erase national sovereignty and racial identity for all people, I'm not a loon. I guess you could call me an advocate for diversity (haha). I don't want our world to be a bray blob without separate identities. Racial, ideological, and national identities help make life worth living for. I wouldn't want a world with all white people, or all black people. I wouldn't a world with all mixed people, etc. I like my freedom, I like my race, I like other races, I like my nation, just the way it is.

I don't think he was banned for racism. The person I replied to said that Milo was "bigoted and hateful" so I posted the picture showing, oddly enough, bigotry and hate from the "victim" of this trolling campaign.

The fact that she left Twitter is great, because it means that you can't go around posting this kind of crap on the internet and not get called out for it or be the subject of the same kind of crap you post.

Without knowing the context of what she was replying to, you can't say whether this was truly bigoted or not. Considering the nature of her comedy, this looks like out of context cherrypicking to make her look bad, but I'm willing to change my mind once actual context for the quotes is provided. It seems an easy thing to do, and the fact that the original comments and/or questions aren't there makes me suspicious.
