Is he actively trying to one-up himself? Does he think that if he keeps causing new controversies every few hours they won't hurt him? Does he even realize what he's doing?

I've thought about that a bit. It's entirely possible he's trying to cause so many controversies that everyone just gets scandal fatigue and starts treating Trump like the (supposedly) harmless uncle who says crazy shit.

I don't have an issue with Johnson being on the debate stage. Better than Stein, who could end up tainting the entire left with her anti-scientific nonsense.

How broadly are you defining the "left", I mean her wifi causes cancer or whatever thing might make think twice about members of her party, it's not To going to make me think say Bernie or Hilary are likewise anti science or anti tech. Although Hilary and her email scandal did highlight her tech illiteracy already.

Whilst I cannot see Jill Stein breaking 1% in november (perhaps she'll scrape just past it), Gary Johnson could perhaps get to double digits if Trump continues his meltdown, and many of those that abandon the GOP vote for Johnson as the sane alternative (when compared to Trump).

Definitely. we should build up from their, and maybe by the 2030's we will have gained enough traction to run in the general. As for the libertarians, I think their time to infiltrate the local and state bodies is now.
