It was, yes. Unfortunately, I was there during the weekend of the most recent attacks, so I had to stay in all Friday night at my hostel (though I was able to travel a lot on the subsequent Saturday/Sunday). München is very expensive, though! My favorite city I visited in Europe was probably Vienna, though I'd say Munich probably narrowly beats Berlin for close second.

Yeah, going to Munich will turn you into a beer drinker. I'm not a big drinker, but you can't go to Munich and not drink the beer.
