Military Special Forces commander is live on the phone at CNNTurk right now. Claiming those who attempt this coup have failed/will fail. Calls them traitors.

maybe they should just democratically run against the guy that was actively subverting democracy

violence is never justified *turns into the human incarnation of liberalism*
ask moderation about reading serious moderation candidates TGs without telling them about it until afterwards and/or apparently refusing to confirm/deny the exact timeline of TG reading ~~~ i hope you never sent any of the recent mods or the ones that got really close anything personal!

signature edit: confirmation has been received. they will explicitly do it before and without asking. they can look at TGs basically whenever they want so please keep this in mind when nominating people for moderator or TGing good posters/anyone!

"Operation: Remove Kebab is under way, Comrade Obama. Our friend, Mr. Erdogan, will soon no longer be a problem." says Putin, as he hangs up the phone, smiling and laughing menacingly as he watches the news. He pours himself another glass of vodka, "Should not have shot down that jet, Erdo."

Coups are constitutional if an Islamist is in power, but this is not an official coup.

The barrel of the tank seems to be intentionally positioned so as not to smack the protesters in the head, as well.

Considering how much support Trump has and how many people in the US possess weapons, a coup would get very very bloody.

perhaps they should go to a safe location instead of marching towards tanks? seems like a safer option.

unless they're going to actively resist the coup, in which case you're not going to like what i'm going to say next

I don't think that excuses soldiers shooting unarmed citizens. Would the protestors have been safer at home? Absolutely. Doesn't mean its all fine and dandy that they're being murdered.

So Anti Clinton or Anti Trump people/military rebels if they were elected would be the bad guys?
You don't understand politics at all. It's not all bloodless and that you can win without hurting a few people.
By your logic we should just all willingly live under democratically elected people who became dictators and hope it works out for the best.
Oh wait, that doesn't work.
The USA revolution had to actually kill some protesters during the American revolution, as did the British. So did the Germans, Soviets, and Japanese in WW2, and the Germans, Russians, Serbians, etc. in WW1.
Were they all the bad guys?

In an unarmed society we must accept that Democracy is but something that exist as a gift from the military.
