Have you considered running as an MP? I'm sure if you find an area that supports nationalisation of energy firms you could make that your issue.

I certainly want to go into nuclear policy, then maybe eventually into "government".

It's been repeatedly suggested to me by people in the industry that having the industry experience prior will make me relevant and worth listening to.

There will certainly be a nuclear industry, probably for the rest of my lifetime, even if everything was cancelled tomorrow.

Somehow I can't help but wonder if the Foreign Office staff did something to piss May or Hammond off and than got loaded with Johnson as a punishment.
