That does sound right, but the doubt seems to be if there will be an industry to gain experiance in for much longer... :(

There will certainly be a nuclear industry, probably for the rest of my lifetime, even if everything was cancelled tomorrow.

Owen Jones offers a fresh perspective on Corbyn and the leadership challenge.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... _clipboard

Leadership challengers should pay attention to this part:

Now there finally will be a leadership contest, Owen Smith, Angela Eagle and any other challenger to Corbyn has to answer a number of questions. Will you abandon an economic policy based on cuts in favour of investment, when even Tories such as Stephen Crabb are calling for £100bn to be spent on infrastructure? Will you abandon the kind of foreign policy that leads to the slaughter of Iraq? Will you defend party democracy, rather than launching a war of vengeance against the left? Could you demonstrate you are better placed to defeat the Tories on a radical platform in an election?

Time for some more polls.

"Jeremy Corbyn has what it takes to be a good Prime Minister":
Agree: 23%
Disagree: 68%

"Angela Eagle has what it takes to be a good Prime Minister":
Agree: 21%
Disagree: 40%

"The Labour Party should change its leader before the next election":
Agree: 66% (+24)
Disagree: 25% (-6)

Looks like Corbyn's not looking too hot.

Oddly enough, this was one of the incidents that made the Foreign Office not want him as a Foreign Minister under any circumstance. He absolutely insisted on doing this stunt, to the abhorrence of the Foreign Office staff around him (I assume due to health and safety, along with diplomatic etiquette).

Somehow I can't help but wonder if the Foreign Office staff did something to piss May or Hammond off and than got loaded with Johnson as a punishment.

You see, I was originally ready to say "okay, this is now a somewhat fair contest, let run".

Now, it's looking increasingly unfair. And I'm not sure I'll have faith in the result.
