You've just gone on and on about how you've set yourself apart from people and that because you found it easy then so should everyone else. I then pointed out that doing well in school has nothing to do with setting yourself apart in work, i.e you have not set yourself apart from others in the job market hence you have no idea how hard or easy it is.
And no, work experience or part time jobs are not the same as finding a long term stable job that will provide you with enough money to support your family.
I was also talking in the context of the job offers I got, I got them so.

That's my point! Not your age specifically, but you haven't been in the same circumstances as those who have been looking for full time jobs, so it's impossible for you to realise how hard it can be to get a job in such circumstances.
Part-time work, flexible work etc. I didn't specify any specific sort of job, I was talking about a job. For someone in that situation, some work is better then no work.

even graduates have trouble finding jobs. but i'm sure if you set yourself apart you will through hard work and just a little pinch of magic be fine.

HMS Vanguard's main problems are A) his mistaken assumption that he's some latterday exponent of coruscating Swiftian satire; B) his total contempt for anyone who isn't HMS Vanguard; C) his tendency to play the (wo)man rather than the ball.
I really wouldn't waste too much time holding him up as an exemplar of anything in particular; if he can't bring himself to reform his behaviour, he'll likely be DEAT before the year is out. At which point he'll no doubt predictably rail against the standard of moderation on the site (see point B, above); but then he did that with his previous main account as well.
And I really wouldn't recommend provoking fights between anyone; not even as a joke.

A Toyota Hilux is more reliable than a Land Rover Discovery. Is that a veiled insult against the Disco?Vassenor wrote:Questers wrote:When he post serious posts they're usually better constructed and stronger arguments than the majority of the people on this thread are capable of making, even if they're all satire (they're not all satire, though.)
If you're going to make veiled insults against the thread in general it's probably a good idea to provide hard evidence.

I don't agree. I am sure that what he does is pushing the rules, but then I don't agree with the site's rules (obviously it's not important enough to stop using the site though.)
He doesn't shitpost more than some other people on this thread, it's only that the shitposting is more provocative. When he post serious posts they're usually better constructed and stronger arguments than the majority of the people on this thread are capable of making, even if they're all satire (they're not all satire, though.)

create a veneer of shitposting for when someone makes the mistake of wandering into something on which you have actual arguments and statistics it will just throw them off even more
it's like crouching tiger hidden shitposter. or is that crouching shitposter hidden dragon?
