All flags that shouldn't be disrespected, said countries should be disrespected.

Nope no more than fact that millions of men and women wearing underwear to war, and dying in said underwear makes underwear is somehow to be worshiped or representative of battle. They fought and died for the prevailing government at that time, and did so because said government was signing their pay cheques.

Still doesn't change the fact that those people died for said flag, to disrespect said flag in my opinion is to disrespect those who fought for it.

I'd also like to mention that the flag symbolises much more then underwear do.

It means taking pride in the fact that we live in a country where you can criticise said country.
And quite frankly, I am finding your rhetoric quite shocking. You need to learn a bit of respect for our flag, I think, and certainly for the US flag- and those who have fought and died for it.

No one died for the flag; they died because the situation where they were sent by the government in return for payment, caused them to die.

I see the disrespecting of a flag as a direct insult to the people who died under said flag.

but by that very fact you are being discouraged from ctirisising the country because the country is being seen as inviolable.
Good, be shocked by it. I am shocked by your devotion to a piece of cloth and a lump of dirt. As I have said it strikes me as horrifyingly parochial

Yeah pass on priding in fact that government doesn't stamp down on basic freedoms, just as how I'm not proud of fact that a mugger didn't stab me on way to work.

Source, because I'm pretty sure the money at end of the month has something to do with it - and even if that were the case, doesn't change the fact that no one died for the flag.

No. Taking pride in ones nation doesn't prescribe what you've said, you can criticise a your nation whilst also being proud of it.
