you can say the same about the Swastika, the flag of Imperial Germany, the IS flag, the IJA flag and the Roman standards

My point being that the flag represents everyone that died under said flag.
Nope no more than fact that millions of men and women wearing underwear to war, and dying in said underwear makes underwear is somehow to be worshiped or representative of battle. They fought and died for the prevailing government at that time, and did so because said government was signing their pay cheques.

Still doesn't change the fact that those people died for said flag, to disrespect said flag in my opinion is to disrespect those who fought for it.

All flags that shouldn't be disrespected, said countries should be disrespected.
why does it matter if the flags are disrespected are not?Minzerland II wrote:Yes. Just like an economic crisis hurts a nation, instead you're sullying its honour.
Nations don't have honour, because nations are just governments and lines on a map

It means taking pride in the fact that we live in a country where you can criticise said country.
And quite frankly, I am finding your rhetoric quite shocking. You need to learn a bit of respect for our flag, I think, and certainly for the US flag- and those who have fought and died for it.

No one died for the flag; they died because the situation where they were sent by the government in return for payment, caused them to die.
