They do? This is news to me, and it hasn't been that long since I was a teen.
I always thought Cosmo was for bored, super-vanilla housewives who think that 'lights off, missionary' is super kinky.

"How to please your man in bed"
"What kind of lover are you"
"Interracial: forbidden love?"

Clearly you have not read cosmo recently
If by "recently", you mean "never have, and never will", then you would be correct. The closest I've ever come to reading it is glancing at the covers with disdain while waiting in the check out line at the grocery store. Though, I honestly cannot imagine anything of substance in those articles, so I imagine even that could be counted as 'reading' them. The Alexanderians wrote:"How to please your man in bed"

I've seen both of the first two as article titles on the front cover before. Coincidentally, they were on the very same cover. And I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if there were an old issue from a few decades back with that third piece.

They LOVE rehashing those first two like every other issue changed slightly to keep up with current trends. The last one is more recent than you'd think...

Honestly, I have seen some idiotic stuff posted in that mag and you end up having to facepalm and laugh.

Come the fuck on, really? If you're attracted to someone, you have a mouth, exteriorize it somehow.

Drawback, I know. We wouldn't be entertained but I am truly looking *NARF* out for the well being of the CosmoNauts. Or anyone in this thread thinking that that kind of behavior will get them a mate.
But I understand. And I'm cackling.

if you ask her/him out it is going to change the relationship, but if it is something you want, figure out how to talk about it, or give more physical cue's it is what you want. You are better off knowing than not knowing.
if you know it's "no", you know you have to move on romantically. And if you go out and it doesnt work, the friendship may not survive, though it may, I am still pretty close friends with a few girls i dated, mrs mermania knows who they are and we all socialize together. Things will change for the short term most definately

Don't overthink it.
Just try not to do anything that would alarm you if someone else said/did it to you. Most people aren't offended by being told, in a polite way, that they are attractive. Make it clear that this is something you would like, but that you're not going to push if the answer is no. It's okay to say, "if you ever change your mind" but don't say or imply "I'm going to keep nagging you until you change your mind."
Just tell them the way you would like to be told.
